Make a Difference Today!

Art is an action. It moves, transforms, and grows people, places, and entire communities. Art teaches us humanity, provokes thought, provides safety in troubled times, and spurs change.

For over 60 years, Chesterton Art Center has been a vital hub championing the positive impact of the arts. We offer high-quality educational and outreach programs, a calendar of exhibitions that showcases local artists, and various events and partnerships that bring the arts to the Duneland community and beyond.

Your donation advocates for our community’s access to the arts and all that Chesterton Art Center offers. Help us build a creative community that includes everyone.

Support Teen Arts Group in Memory of Kevin Hicks

Kevin was a 2006 graduate of Chesterton High School and was passionate about art. He loved drawing, woodworking, and sculpting. Kevin enjoyed his art classes during his time at Duneland and on several occasions, had projects displayed at the Chesterton Art Center. Kevin joined the United States Air Force after high school where he was injured and permanently disabled during training. Unfortunately, Kevin became addicted to pain medication while recovering from his injuries. While Kevin battled his addictions valiantly, he succumbed to the effects of his illness and passed away in January of this year.

CAC’s Teen Arts Group, known as TAG, was established to support the youth artists of our community and throughout the region in an inclusive and mutually respectful environment. Irrespective of experience level or preferred medium of work, all are welcome.

Kevin loved art and he loved kids! TAG would have been a place where he belonged as a teen. Donate in support of TAG in memory of Kevin.
