DESCRIPTION: Learn Kintsugi--the art of repairing broken pottery with urushi lacquer and gold-- in this inspiring class. Instructor Sharon Meyers, has just returned from 3 months Artist in Residence Program in Kyoto, and will show you step by step how to "continue the story" of a broken small dish or wearable art brooch/pendant of your choice, to be provided in class. You will be served traditional Japanese tea as part of the experience.

You will take home your beautiful repaired piece after class, and come away with appreciation of this beautiful art and the culture that surrounds it.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
