Beginner Oil Painting / APRIL 7-28
WHEN: 4-class session / Monday, April 7-28 7-9 PM
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: With guidance from award-winning artist Jane Cowley, this beginner level class teaches students introductory oil painting techniques and processes of Oil Painting. Lessons will include introduction to materials as well as composition, color mixing, value, perspective, spatial relations, etc.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginners & advanced beginners / Higher-level students can work on independent projects per instructor approval
LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

SUPPLIES: Students are expected to bring the following supplies:
Oil Paints: Titanium White, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Indigo, Light Green, Raw Sienna, and Burnt Umber
Brushes: Flat brush, size 6. Filbert brush, size 12. Rigger brush, size 4. Angular, size 4. Liner brush, size 2
Four 11x14in. canvases

Mineral spirits & rag
Glass jars with sealed tops (recommended for mediums)

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
