Acrylic Painting for All Levels /Jan 9-Feb 6
WHEN: 4-class session / Thursday, January 9- February 6 (no class January 16) from 10 AM-1 PM (New! Extended 3 hour class!)
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Diana Stezalski, students will explore the versatile medium of acrylic paint. Sharing characteristics with oil paints but water-soluble like watercolors, acrylics are a safe, flexible, fun media that allow for a wide color spectrum, quick dry time, and playful techniques. Value, composition, and color mixing will be emphasized through hands-on exercises as students develop a series of paintings that encourage exploration in the style/subject of their choice.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All skill levels welcome
LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

SUPPLIES: Students are expected to bring the following supplies:
Liquitex Acrylic Paint Tubes: Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Burnt Umber, Ivory Black, Titanium White (Other Option: Blick Artists' Acrylic Set or Liquitex Professional Heavy Body Set)
Brushes: Bright, size 8. Round, size 2. Round, size 4. Round, size 8. Filbert, size 4. (Other Option: Synthetic acrylic brush set with variety of sizes)
Palette: disposable paper palette sheets or a plastic plate
Palette Knife
Jars/cups for water
Painting smock or old shirt (recommended)

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
