The Art of Kintsugi Repair II/ April 19

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: Join Instructor Sharon Meyers as she guides students through an in depth exploration of Kintsugi--the art of repairing broken pottery with urushi lacquer and gold.  New students will learn the basics of the art, while returning students will building upon the foundational skills learned in the initial workshop and take on a more challenging repair project to continue the piece's story.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a beautifully repaired piece to take home, along with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Kintsugi’s connection to Japanese culture, history and philosophy. Students will also be treated to a modified Japanese tea ceremony to close this class.

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
