DESCRIPTION: Exploring Drawing and Creative Expression through Art Journaling is a free art class for seniors, made possible with a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. Join Cara Schmitt in this 8-session class which offers the opportunity to learn basic drawing fundamentals while exploring creative expression through a series of both abstract and figurative creative prompts, all in journal format. Students will utilize pencil, ink pens, colored pencil and more. Each session will provide new artistic challenges while building skills and surprising themselves. Each student will be provided with a journal to work in during class and at home, between class sessions. Students will work in a community setting, sharing supplies and thoughts. 

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner / All skill levels welcome

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
