WHEN: 4-class session / Thursday, March 13-April 3 from 10-1 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Diana Stezalski, students will explore different ways of working with acrylic paints using varied additive materials such as gel mediums/impasto/joint compound, collage elements, colored pencils, pastels, oil sticks and fabric to create works.  Students will be introduced to several techniques as a means to rethink the texture, thickness, and application of their paints as they further develop skills in color mixing, composition and mark-making. All levels are welcome. 

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All skill levels welcome

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

SUPPLIES: Students are expected to bring the following supplies:

  • Liquitex Acrylic Paint Tubes: Basic Set of Acrylic Paint Colors (Recommended: Liquitex Professional Heavy Body Acrylics - Set of 12, Essential Colors, 22 ml)

  • Brushes: #6 flat - # 8 bright - # 2 round brush -#4 filbert brush(Other Option: Synthetic acrylic brush set with variety of sizes)

  • Palette: disposable paper palette sheets or a plastic plate

  • Palette Knife

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.

Make Ups; If a single class session is postponed due to weather or instructor illness, etc., the makeup class will be held on a Friday.
