Queen Ann's Lace Watercolor Workshop / May 30
WHEN: 1-day workshop / Friday, May from 9-3 PM, with a 1 hour lunch break
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: Join artist Herb Helm for an immersive watercolor workshop where you'll create a beautiful piece featuring Queen Anne's Lace. In this guided class, students will explore both experimental and traditional watercolor techniques, including pouring, splattering, and the unique practice of negative and positive painting.
Students who have taken previous workshops with Herb have to option to bring their past pieces for ongoing guidance and support.
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced beginners + above
LOCATION: Upstairs classroom
TUITION: $110 for non-members / $99 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10% member discount
SUPPLIES: Watercolor Paint: Professional grade, tube paints are preferred.
For the Queen Anne’s Lace you will need to bring: Yellow, Blue, Green (or mix it with the first two), Brown and Black, as well as what other colors you may have.
OR
to continue working on previous paintings: pure red, blue and yellow. Other than those 3, bring what you have.
Paper: bring a higher quality paper, Arches Watercolor Paper recommended.
Palette
3 small saucers, or containers that you can mix paint in and platter from.
Water container
Paint brushes – a variety of sizes, one should be a size 1-2 (round), one should be a 3-5 (round) and one larger.
Masking Fluid (for student’s working on previous paintings only)
Masking tape
Toothbrush (optional)
X-Acto knife (optional)
Water sprayer bottle
Scrap Paper for drawing on or blocking paint
Pictures of Queen Anne’s Lace if you have it – if not that is fine.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
