The Art of Kintsugi Repair for Teens / Feb 8
WHEN: 1-day workshop / February 8 from 12 - 1:30 PM
AGES: 11-16
DESCRIPTION: In this hands-on class, instructor Sharon Meyers will teach students how to make broken pieces whole again, through kintsugi-the art of gluing them together, then painting the broken elements with gold or silver to show the cracks. This enables each piece to continue its story. Each person will repair, paint and take home their once more beautiful pottery as a useful object and reminder of being "perfectly imperfect." Students will learn all about the rich traditions of the Japanese Tea, as it relates to Kintsugi (Students will be treated to green tea shakes) and take away a new understanding on what it means to be resilient.

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
